The Alle, Nysis and The Emparin.

This is a quick overview of this race, there may be slight spoilers due to interlocking lore.

Though the Alle, Nysis and Emparin are all the same race, their culture and and societies are vastly different.

The Nysis.

The Nysis are warriors of the sky. Residing in the red mountains of Geadia, the Nysis will often be at odds with the Gyva just for fun, but in times of war they agree upon the same ideals making them temporary allies, though the fight for the Geadian sky will continue upon peace time.

The Nysis build in the crevices of towering stone totems creating a city that, from the outside, is almost completely unnoticeable.

The Emparin.

Known as the snakes of the sky, the Emparin are raven feathered, black feathers and hair with iridescent shades of purple and green. Their skin is often pale due to the rainy weather of Bethyel.

Their home Bethyel lies between Kymaidia and Saevev. With the rains coming off the swamps of Tav’aesh, Bethyel is often under a covering of clouds. The ground is touched only by the creatures who creep beneath the canopy of towering trees and and tall pillars of stone known as the Teeth of Bethyel. Unlike the Nysis, the Emparin do not hide their homes and cities. With detailed structures built into the stone and trees around them, the only way to traverse their cities is by flight, as it is with all winged folk.

The Emparin prefer to avoid outright conflict, seeking silent ways to gain power, influence and control. Though the Emparin are men of their word, they always seem to find a way around it. This has made them, in the eyes of other races, untrustworthy.

The Alle.

The Alle are the white and angelic folk of the sky. Residing in the outskirts of Saevev and the coastline of Kymaidia, the Alle founded the City of Heila, which was the most diverse and accepting society at the time. Though despite their founding a tolerant society, the Alle were proud and often arrogant when compared to their kin the Nysis and Emparin, creating a seperation and even hatred toward them.

The arrogance of the Alle led to their extinction by the hand of the Emparin, who within only a few days wiped out the Alle.

The four Guardians of the realms.

The four guardians are powerful beings created to watch over and protect the mortals assigned to them. As a physical representation of the realm’s balance, if even one were to ignore their duty, the realms would fall into chaos and war. Though there can be war with all four guardians watching over the realms, the chaos brought by their absence is unlike any disaster known to the mortals of the realms. To aid in their roles as Watchers, each Guardian was given a relic of power.

The Guardians of Peace.

Kassiopia, The Watcher in the Sky, known by her mortals as the Fairy guardian. Kassiopia watches over the Dravac (Dragonfolk) and the winged people, The Allee, The Nysis and The Emparin. As a Guardian of Peace, Kassiopia is most well known for healing the sick and guiding lost travelers.

Orain, The Hunter. Often mistaken for a Guardian of Chaos, Orain brings peace when there is no other option but war. As the guardian of the earth, Orain watches over the Gyva and the Humans.

The Guardians of Chaos.

Krakus. The Eye of the Sea. Krakus is the rage and chaos of the seas. With little concern for the happenings of the land, she also has little mercy for those who do not belong to the waves. Her people are the Sirens and the vicious Lyris.

Selai. The Dark Thief. The first Guardian, given domain over the shadows and the dark things of the Realms. Unlike the other Guardians who bring balance, Selai is the maker of Chaos. He reigns over the dark creatures known as the Mavros, and the unnaturally born Saevyens.

The Nation of Saevev

Saevev is located on the southern end of Iadoleth (the largest continent in the realms) with frigid weather few can endure, her coasts rocky and covered by storms, and the southern border known as “The cold border” between the Swamp of Zyluh and Bethyiel. The Saevyen people have found ways to sail through the rough storms making them the most feared ships on the seas.

Saevev’s capitol Saskia, the first city built in this frozen wilderness, was named in honor of the First Queen, Yvrathla Saskia. Built like a mountain, Saskia towers into the sky with a pit in the center where the palace sits surrounded by a wall of the city, built of dead ships and stone. Saskia has never fallen to sieges.

The people of Saevev originated from the City of Heila before she fell in the year 496. Seavev rebelled against Heila in 455 led by Yvrathla who became Queen in the year 459. Well known for brutality in war, the People of Saevev are feared even above the Gyva in the north. With weapons of cold black iron that cannot be melted even by Dravacian fire, the Saevyens are believed to be un-killable in battle, few dare to make war with them.

Crops are nearly impossible to cultivate, making food such as bread and vegetables a rarity. The diet of the Saevyen people consists of fish and root crops, making dishes such as stew and jerky. On hunts in the cold wild, Saevyen hunters will often carry frozen meat that they eat raw. Wild animals are minimal, consisting mostly of fierce Wolves and the giant Saevyen Bear.
